It’s not uncommon for organizations’ cybersecurity plans to focus on the endpoint as the major area to protect. After all, endpoints are a fairly easy way for malicious actors to penetrate a system. Using tools like next- generation antivirus (NGAV) and endpoint detection and response (EDR) can help protect endpoints, but do less for environments, and especially if attackers manage to get past the user level.
